INFO:
A lot of my clients are so self-aware it hurts. They can name every trauma, pattern, and coping mechanism, but they’re still stuck in cycles of burnout, shame, and disconnection. They are waiting for the exercise or practice or tool that will “fix” them because they are convinced they just aren’t trying hard enough or doing the right things. Why? Because high self-awareness without embodiment just keeps you in your head. Healing doesn’t ask you to figure more out. It asks you to feel more. To stop performing and start being. To slow down enough to connect to your body, not just your brain. So here’s a 5-minute nervous system drop-in you can try today: Set a timer for 5 minutes. Turn off distractions. 🐆 Sit or lay down somewhere comfortable. 🐆 Bring your attention to your feet. 🐆 Gently press them into the ground. 🐆 Name out loud or in your mind what you feel—sensations, textures, temperatures. But also noticing what you feel. Are you waiting for the timer to go off so you can stop? Are you feeling anxious, sad, annoyed, joyful, peaceful? Allow the emotions to come and observe them instead of judging them. 🐆 Breathe into your belly. Let yourself land here. That’s it. No fixing. No performing. Just being in your body with curiosity. This is where real healing begins.
